COICIS PORRIDGE

INGREDIENTS :

90g coicis, 30g sweet almonds, 38g brown rice.


SEASONINGS:
(1) 1t oil.
(2) 2 cups of broth, 9 cups of water.
(3) 1t salt.

PREPARATION :

1. Rinse brown rice 3 times in running water; Soak in water for 30 minutes; Lift the brown rice up and drain; Marinate in seasoning (1) till ready to use.
2. Rinse coicis; Soak in water for 30 minutes; Lift the coicis up and drain.
3. Rinse sweet almonds and drain.
4. Pour seasoning (2) to a non-stick pot; Add the brown rice and sweet almonds; Bring to the boil over a high heat; Add the coicis; Bring to the boil over a high heat again; Cook over a high heat for 2 more minutes; Turn to a medium heat; Cook over a medium heat for 28 minutes; Turn to a medium-low heat; Stir briefly; Cook over a medium-low heat (Stir briefly every 15 minutes); Add seasoning (3); Stir to mix well; Turn off the heat; Arrange in serving plates; Serve hot.
