SKEWERED BEEF

INGREDIENTS :

454g rib-eye beef, 1 pack of rice cake sticks, 3 cloves of garlic, 1 stalk of spring onion.


SEASONINGS:
1T soy sauce, 1t sesame oil, 1T grain syrup, 1t ground black pepper.

PREPARATION :

1. Peel, rinse and mince garlic.
2. Wipe clean with damp kitchen paper; Trim off any excess fat of rib-eye beef; Cut into strips with 5-cm length.
3. Add seasonings, the garlic and the beef to a big mixing bowl; Stir to mix well; Leave it for at least 45 minutes.
4. Soak bamboo skewers in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
5. Rinse rice cake sticks; Soak in water for 30 minutes; Lift the rice cake up and rinse; Drain.
6. Rinse and cut off the roots of spring onion; Cut into sections.
7. Pre-heat gas grill to medium heat.
8. Using two parallel skewers, thread the spring onion, the beef, and the rice cakes alternately on the skewers (repeat till the ingredients are used up).
9. Arrange the skewers on the grill; Grill over a medium heat for 8 minutes (Flip over every 2 minutes); Remove from the heat; Turn off the grill; Arrange on a serving plate; Serve immediately.
